UK-Chatham: Building consultancy services.

Medway Council
UK-Chatham: Building consultancy services.

Scope

Description: Medway Council intends to commission a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary consultancy service to support project delivery through all RIBA stages up to Stage 7. Bidding consultants are to price all RIBA stages on which the evaluation and award will be based. There will be a break clause after RIBA stage 1, which will be the decision point on whether to continue with the project.
The Marlborough Centre is currently based onsite at Hoo St Werburgh Primary School, in Hoo; their focus is on inclusion and recognising the uniqueness of their learners. They are an 80-place resourced provision who offer an aspirational and individualised learning environment for children with a diagnosis of autism aged 5- 11 years.
We are looking to relocate the centre from Hoo St Werburgh Primary School to the current lower, vacant and available building at Twydall Primary School. As well as increase the pupil places by 30, this would take the resource provision to 110 pupils.
Pupils will start in the new building, September 2027. Ideally completion of works May/June 2027.
Medway Council, the Rivermead Trust and The Howard Academy Trust (THAT) would need to be involved in initial proposals.
A final firm budget is yet to be formerly determined.
